The ‚artefact POWER-PARK’ in Glücksburg, the first EnergieErlebnisPark (energy adventure park) in Germany, invites visitors to approach energy with all senses: to race the sun, to experience how much power is in wind and water, how we can use energy more carefully and how the greenhouse effect works. There are more than 30 stations where energy can be experienced in an amusing way. But sometimes it is thought-provoking: what can I do at home, in school or at work to deal carefully and future-oriented with our planet and the chances of the next generations? This watt tour of a special kind, from the fossil age of coal to the age of solar energy, is an experience for the whole family. The centre, which got the European Solar Prize in 1998, comprises an international guest house, holiday flats, rooms for seminars and festivities, a nature experience area and more. It is run by the ‚artefact gGmbH für Globales Lernen und Lokales Handeln’ (Artefact gGmbH for global learning and local acting).
