The “Langes Tannen” museum site consists of a building ensemble that is under protection as an historic monument today. It comprises a manorhouse in the style of Classicism from the early 19th century, a rebuilt barn from 1762, an octagonal base of a windmill from 1796 and a few auxiliary buildings. The building ensemble is idyllically situated within a large estate with 26 hectares of wood, meadows, parks and ponds. An exhibition on cultural history is presented in the manorhouse: “Bourgeois cultivation of home décor” with an emphasis on the 19th and early 20th century. The museum barn is used for changing exhibitions throughout the year. It is used for different events like concerts, readings etc. The Café “Langes Mühle”, which is furnished like a museum, offers homemade cakes to visitors in the mill base.

in Tornesch you pass through an underbridge, please turn right in the direction of Elmshorn directly behind it at the traffic light crossroads
after about a mile you reach Heidgraben, please keep left in the direction of Uetersen here
after another 1.5 to 2 miles you reach Uetersen, please turn right at the sign "Museum"
