Since 1.7.2002 the responsible body for this museum and the cultural centre is the 'Stiftung Schleswig-Holsteinische Landesmuseen Schloss Gottorf' (Schloss Gottorf regional museums of Schleswig-Holstein foundation). These two institutions are housed in the completely preserved buildings of the former Jewish community in Rendsburg since 1985/1988: in the synagogue with the ritual bath from 1845 (Dr.-Bamberger-Haus) and the Talmud-Tora School (Jüdisches Museum Rendsburg). In 1991 an annexe at the yard side was added (Julius-Magnus-Haus).
