César Klein, wie Max Pechstein Mitglied der "Novembergruppe", entwarf mit seinem Plakat zur Nationalversammlung eine soziale Utopie. Unter einer aufgehenden Sonne, die ein besseres Morgen, den Aufbruch in eine neue Gesellschaft, zu versprechen scheint, heben in einer friesartigen Komposition Vertreter der im Text angesprochenen Klassen einmütig die rechte Hand als Zustimmung zur Nationalversammlung und versinnbildlichen auf diese Weise den Gedanken der Volkseinheit, der durch das gegenseitige Reichen der linken Hand noch verstärkt wird.
