Mit dieser Presse wurden in Buchbindereien Pressvergoldungen hergestellt. Im Gegensatz zur Handvergoldung, bei der mit "Fileten" gearbeitet wird, kommt hier eine gravierte messingform, die den vollständigen Titeldruck enthält zum Einsatz. Die Pressform wird auf 80 -100° erwärmt, auf den Druckstoff wird eine Oeserfolie gelegt. Durch Druck und Hitze wird diese Folie, die aus Echtgold oder Bronze sein kann, mit dem Buchdeckel verbunden. Erzielbarer Pressdruck ca. 20 t.
