Brosche mit filigraner, durchbrochener Silberarbeit auf Messingunterlage mit Messingnägelchen befestigt, ein roter, geschliffener Glasstein mittig. Symmetrische Anordnung mit runder Grundform, oben mit spitzem Zipfel auslaufend, unten mit rundem Abschluss endend; Um den Glasstein Messingnägelchen und -beschläge strahlenförmig angebracht, ähnelt einer Sonne. Die filigrane Messingarbeit auf einer Unterlage ist laut Konrad Struve (Elmshorner Heimatforscher) besonders typisch für die Elmshorner Goldschmiede und ihrer Umgebung. Bereits im 18. Jh. ist eine rege Tätigkeit von bis zu 40 Goldschmiedemeistern im Flecken Elmshorn zu verzeichnen.
