Kleines Metalldöschen mit Deckel, Aufbewahrungselement für einen Eisenring, innen mit Papier ausgelegt. Auf dem Deckel in Gold Initialen "A.H." mit Jahreszahl 1866. Der Querstrich des Buchstaben A ist ein nach links zeigender Pfeil. Der Eisenring ist schlicht und mit einer Naht, auf der Ringschiene Inschrift "Gold gab ich für Eisen 1813 …..". Während den Befreiungskriegen 1813-15 appellierte Prinzessin Marianne von Preußen an alle Frauen Preußens, ihren Goldschmuck im Austausch für eine Eisenbrosche oder Ring mit dieser Aufschrift abzugeben. Dies wurde zur Mode, um den persönlichen Beitrag während des Krieges für das Vaterland zu demonstrieren.
